Torres drops Italy future hint
17 Apr 2009 - 08:27:22
Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has admitted he would like to play in Italy at some point during his career.
Torres, 25, claims he is in no rush to leave Anfield where he still has four years remaining on his contract.
But the Spain striker is keen to experience life in Serie A one day in order to complete a hat-trick of playing in all of Europe's major domestic league competitions.
The former Atletico Madrid star said: "One day I could play for a great club like Milan or Inter, then I would be able to say that I have played in the three most important leagues in the world - the Spanish, the English and the Italian.
"Who knows, maybe one day I could even have the option of the Bundesliga."
He added: "I want to stay at Liverpool for many years yet. I feel at home here and I have another four years on my contract.
"This club has been fantastic to me and has treated me like Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.
"I'm hoping to repay this warmth by winning the Premier League - a title that has been missing for so long."
