Torres transfer request denied
Liverpool FC have turned down Fernando Torres's transfer request. The Spain striker put in a transfer request last night but that was quickly denied by the club. "Fernando Torres tonight submitted a written transfer request, which has been rejected by Liverpool," said the Reds in an official statement. "Fernando is under a long-term contract and the Club expects him to honour the commitment he made to Liverpool FC and its supporters when he signed the agreement."
