Torres delighted with Chelsea victory

A brace by Fernando Torres ensured a victory for Liverpool over Chelsea and three valuable points as they start to rise back up the Premier League table. "We knew at the start of the season that we weren't good enough," said the goal hero at the end of the 2-0 win at Anfield. "Liverpool have never before been in the relegation places after nine games."We are now playing better every day. We knew from the very beginning that we needed time to work with the new manager and new players and we have to show now to teams not as good as Chelsea that we can play this way, play with the same intensity and quality and we will be fighting for big things. But now is our opportunity to show against Wigan, against Stoke that we can keep winning games. "At the end of the day it's three more points but everyone knows that it is a different game. It's not only three points but it gives you more confidence and especially after a hard week playing three games in seven days. So we have to forget this game now and think of Wednesday night and keep getting points because we wasted a lot of points at the beginning and we have to win every game now."It has been a tough end of the season for me with the World Cup and a few injuries, but every day I'm feeling better and improving every day. I don't know if I'll be at my best sooner or later but I'm sure it will be as soon as possible."It's part of the life of a footballer being criticised but football is like this, even at a team like Liverpool. Everyone is watching every game. Everything you do is shown around the world in the next minute, so I know I need to ignore that if I want to get back to form."
