Newcastle United to Liverpool - £6mThe left back position has been something of a problem for Liverpool in recent years and this summer Kenny Dalglish made it a priority to bring in a solid and reliable left sided defender.
That came in the form of Spanish left back Jose Enrique. After a difficult start to life in England being relegated with Newcastle in 2009 he bounced back with two brilliant seasons at St James' Park.
A contract dispute with Newcastle made him available at a bargain price and Liverpool swooped in to bring him to the club for £6 million.
