If the Liverpool team of the late 70's was very good, then this team was even better.

Joe Fagan had replaced Paisley as the manager, but the team continued under the same mentality.

The treble of 1984 is perhaps one of the greatest achievements by an English club and rounded off their dominance of the late 70's and early 80's.

A European Cup win over Roma was the culmination of their success and in total the club had lifted four European Cups, six English league titles, four League Cups and a UEFA Cup in the years 1975-84.
