Liverpool beat AC Milan 3-2 in a penalty shootout to win The Champions League, after sensationally coming back from three goals down at half-time.

Maldini gave Milan a first minute lead, along with a Hernan Crespo double gave Milan a seemingly unassailable lead.

An inspirational team talk by master tactician Rafael Benitez worked wonders for Liverpool. With Steven Gerrard acting as a catalyst for the side, Liverpool managed to score 3 quick goals in arguably the greatest 10 minutes in football.

After Extra Time the game eventually fell to penalties, with Serginho and Pirlo missing, the great Andriy Shevchenko stepped up to save Milans hopes and dreams.

Jerzy Dudek produced a fantastic save to deny the Ukraine hero, a moment that will remain in Liverpool's history forever. Being there fifth European Crown, this match ensured the trophy would remain at Anfield.
