Tommy Smith on LFC: Now is the perfect time to play Glen Johnson out wide right
WITH Steven Gerrard, Lucas and Jay Spearing out of tonight's game against West Ham, Roy Hodgson is so stretched for midfield options.[LNB]Poulsen may well come into the centre of the park with Meireles. But with Glen Johnson fit again it offers the perfect chance to play him in a more advanced role on the right.[LNB]I've believed for a long time that Johnson's attacking qualities mean he is much more of a winger than a full back. I'd love to see that given a go, particularly as we have to try and find more attacking options.[LNB]Johnson loves taking people on and as we've seen, he can cause havoc in and around the penalty area with his trickery and strength.[LNB]
