Tom Ince is set for talks with Blackpool as he looks to force through a switch to Liverpool, according to The Mirror.

The 20-year-old has been heavily linked with a return to his former club, however negotiations between the two teams have broken down.

The Reds have offered a reported £5m fee for the winger, but the Championship outfit are holding out for a greater figure.

Ince is said to be concerned at the threat of playing in Blackpool’s weekend FA Cup campaign, which would make him ineligible for the competition with a new club.

He is set to call upon his father, Paul, ahead of discussions with his employers, with the former Liverpool and Manchester United midfielder thought to be keen on his son leaving the club.

Another possible issue surrounding the deal is a reported clause that allows the young attacker to pocket 10% of the fee, reducing the total that Blackpool will receive.

Ince left the Anfield club to join the Seasiders in 2011, after becoming frustrated by a lack of first-team opportunities.

He has flourished win the second-tier, producing a number of impressive performances, alerting Liverpool, who are keen to bolster their attacking options.
