George Gillett and Tom Hicks [LNB]LIVERPOOL FC's former owners are going back to court in a move that could pave the way for them to sue the club's new owners for damages.[LNB]Tom Hicks and George Gillett will be represented in court in February against New England Sports Ventures, now the Fenway Sports Group, RBS and former Anfield chairman Martin Broughton.[LNB]The case is listed to start on February 9, 10, or 11.[LNB]The Americans will ask for the dismissal of an anti-suit injunction, that was taken out when Hicks launched a £1bn lawsuit in Dallas trying to halt the sale of the club in October.[LNB] The hearing will be before Mr Justice Floyd, who ruled a £300m deal with NESV could go ahead.[LNB]After losing control of the club, Hicks claimed NESV's takeover was an 'epic swindle' and said he was stunned that it had been allowed to go ahead.[LNB]The application to have the suit discharged, which currently runs indefinitely, is a sign that the Americans have not accepted the sale that saw them lose £140m.[LNB]The suit overturned a restraining order in Texas where Hicks and Gillett lodged a claim for $1.6bn damages from the English directors at Anfield - along with lenders Royal Bank of Scotland and successful Liverpool bidders NESV - claiming they were undervaluing the price of the club and disregarding other, allegedly higher, offers.[LNB]Keith Oliver, from London-based solicitors Peters and Peters, said: 'It is hoped that the hearing will enable the dispute between the various parties to be unravelled and the way forward to be determined.'
