Steven Gerrard has blamed three costly draws at Anfield for Liverpool's failure to win the Barclays Premier League title but believes next season will be the Reds' year. The midfielder accepts consecutive home league draws against Fulham, West Ham and Hull in November and December put pay to Rafael Benitez's chances of winning the championship Gerrard believes the stalemates handed the initiative to Manchester United who clinched their third successive Barclays Premier League title last weekend. Gerrard said: 'Looking back at those three draws on the spin at home, they are the key because, if we had turned them into wins, wewould probably be champions or at least still in the race with one gameto go. 'But that shows everyone how difficult this league is to win and that you needto perform immaculately at home and win all your games.
