Liverpool's victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford once again proved that the clash brings out fierce passion from both sets of fans. TELL US WHAT YOU THINK 10 Olympiakos v PanathinaikosThis game is played between the two largest clubs in Greece. These games are the biggest matches in the Greek football calendar. 9 Feyenoord v Ajax    Rotterdam is just over 40 miles from Amsterdam so this is a battle of the two cities. The game is referred to locally as 'De Klassieker' (The Classic) but  it has sadly been marred by violence between fans over the years.  8 Red Star Belgrade v Partizan BelgradeOften referred to as the 'External Derby',  the Belgrade derby makes for one of the the most heated rivalries in European football. Also a battle between two clubs that have massive worldwide fan bases and constitute the  two major cities in the north-west of England. 5 AC Milan v Inter MilanThe Milan derby was first played in1910. Their 2004-05 clash in Champions League was abandoned after Dida,in goals for AC Milan, was hit with a flare.  4 Galatasaray v FenerbahceThis match is not only the clash between the two most successfulclubs in Turkey, but historically it is also a clash of cultures as Fenerbahce hail from the  Asian side of Istanbul, while Galatasarayare based in the European side.  Although both clubs now attract fansfrom all over Turkey, the derby is still as fiercely contested as everand regularly explodes both on and off the pitch.  3 Boca Juniors v River PlateThe game is called the 'Superclasico'.  This is an intense derby played between the two largest and most successful and popular clubs in Argentina - Boca Juniors and River Plate.  Perfect 10: Boca Juniors star Juan Roman Riquelme (left) is welcomed into battle against Buenos Aires rivals River Plate 2 Real Madrid v Barcelona'El Clasico' is Barcelona v Real Madrid, the battle of the two biggest teams in the world. It is Spain (Real Madrid) v Catalan (Barcelona). The first clash between Barcelona and Real Madrid took place in 1929. One El of a rivalry: world stars Fabio Cannavaro (left) for Real and Thierry Henry face off Tussle: Gers' Steven Davis (left) and Celtic's Lee Naylor 1 Rangers v CelticThe 'Old Firm' derby is the battle between Glasgow rivals Rangers and Celtic with deep-rooted religious and political associations as well as footballing ones. The match was first contested in 1888, the year Celtic was formed. This is a rivalry between the two teams that completely dominate Scottish football. They play each other in four league games each season and the results of the derby often dictate the destination of the league championship trophy.
