The Jury: Liverpool FC fans reflect on the Reds' Merseyside derby victory at Goodison

PAUL ANDERSON, Orrell Park[LNB]THERE is an old expression which says 'There are two things life guarantees - death and taxes.'[LNB]They can now add Liverpool Football Club victories at Goodison Park, if they like.[LNB]The annual three points were again secured against Everton, and it's becoming part of my Goodison Park ritual to watch the Park End empty long before the referee plans to blow his full-time whistle.[LNB]However, this season could have been so different; for long periods we were second best, creating little which was frustrating as well as worrying.[LNB]After the spell the club has being going through victory was all that mattered.[LNB]We must continue with all three points at Ewood Park on Saturday.[LNB]CHRIS LALLEY, Huyton[LNB]ON the 50th anniversary of a certain Scot's arrival at Anfield - the man that ultimately shaped our club and who paved the way for the success achieved over the last half a century - it is well worth remembering that the dynasty Bill Shankly built was not done so overnight.[LNB]During a six year spell, Liverpool finished 5th, 3rd, 2nd, 5th, 5th and 3rd respectively without a single trophy collected.[LNB]This does not in anyway undermine the impact Shanks had at Liverpool and it certainly does not deter from the fact he is incomparable to any other manager the game has ever been graced with.[LNB]What this does highlight is that there is always a bigger picture. Shanks had a vision and it took time, dedication and a clear passion for our club and our people to turn this vision into a reality.[LNB]Our current manager is of the same ilk. He has the dedication, the passion, the vision. Rafa Benitez simply needs the time.
