The Jury: Liverpool FC fans reflect on the Premier League defeat at Manchester United

DAMIAN KAVANAGH, Skelmersdale[LNB]IT'S been a disappointing start to the Premier League campaign but we can't just blame that on a tough opening from the fixture list.[LNB]We haven't yet given a 90 minute performance - with not a single goal scored in the first half of any of our matches - and that's the reason why we've got only five points from five games.[LNB]Again it was our shortcomings out wide that proved our downfall on Sunday. At least the lads showed some fight after going two goals down at Old Trafford.[LNB] We need to impose that kind of determination and confidence from the first whistle in matches and quickly get some points on the board.[LNB]The captain was right to say this week this is no time to be going around feeling sorry for ourselves, there are some very winnable matches coming up so its down to Roy and the players now to prove their quality and get our season on track.; we're only three points from the top four so let's have those two must-wins before the international break.[LNB]Come on you Reds![LNB]ROBERT GILLIES, Aigburth[LNB]THE honeymoon is over and justified dissent is evident.[LNB]The Reds have not enjoyed the positive bounce that any new manager tends to enjoy in his first few games.[LNB]Against United we were ponderous from the kick-off choosing to square pass whenever possible or alternatively lumping the ball forward to Rodrigez, the smallest player on the pitch![LNB]We had no attempts on goal in open play which is a disgrace and from the first minute Torres was pointing to the opposite side indicating no support in closing down the opposition.[LNB]You do not need a UEFA coaching badge to see the problems.[LNB]Carragher needs to be replaced by Agger, Johnson should have been pushed forward to replace Kuyt and a second forward on from the start.[LNB]United were there for the taking at 2-2 but straight from the kick-off we cowardly sat back, content, and that is poor captaincy and poor management.[LNB]Roy, sort it out now and stop being an urbane apologist about factors that affect all teams.
