The Jury: Liverpool FC fans on the Reds' Portsmouth win and Europa League prospects

PAUL ANDERSON, Orrell Park[LNB]WHEN talking about three goals in six minutes, Liverpool supporters remember a far happier occasion than Portsmouth at home on Monday night.[LNB]On the back of an embarrassing week for the club, defeats at Wigan and Lille had the media in a frenzy questioning playing staff and the manager. It simply was not good enough for Liverpool FC.[LNB]However, on Monday albeit against a crucified Portsmouth we were actually entertaining to watch. [LNB]We showed flair in midfield and a quick tempo to our play which has been missing for far too long.[LNB]Alberto Aquilani showed a couple of signs as to why Rafa Benitez spent the majority of his transfer kitty on the Italian. [LNB]Torres looked sharper and there was a refreshing air of pace around attacks.[LNB]CHRIS LALLEY, Huyton[LNB]ALTHOUGH we need to ensure we do not get carried away, Monday night's victory over Pompey was a fantastic performance and long overdue. [LNB]It was not so much the scoreline which brought a smile to the face of every Liverpool fan but the nature in which the opposition were disposed of and the football we were able to effortlessly produce.[LNB]Alberto Aquilani finally announced his arrival at Anfield with a showing that oozed of class and intelligence (£20 million bargain?) whilst Maxi was also able to demonstrate that he has a lot more to offer this Liverpool side in the long run.[LNB]But these facts will be very quickly forgotten if we are unable to follow this up with progression into the last 16 of the Europa League tonight, which is vital heading into Sunday's massive game down the 62. [LNB]Win against United is needed but if we can muster a similar scoreline to Old Trafford, finishing this year on a high may become more than just hope!
