The Jury: Liverpool FC fans give their verdict on the Reds' shameful defeat at Wigan

JOHN CRUCES, Kirkby[LNB]MONDAY'S loss at Wigan was a disgrace and we all know it. [LNB]The worst part about it was there can be no argument or way of excusing it. I think everyone can handle getting beat if there was perhaps some fight, or maybe even an injustice of some sort, but Monday there was nothing besides a dismal display.[LNB]It's hard to say 'oh well, just a bad day at the office' as there have been too many of them this season already.[LNB]With all due respect to Wigan they should have been brushed aside with the same ease as Everton did against Hull the day earlier - and it hurts to say that, but it's true.[LNB]I'm glass half full by nature, but there was nothing positive to take out of the game aside from the full time whistle. The truth is if we play like that again we won't be worrying about a Champions League place, we will be sweating on Europe full stop and right now we are in a huge battle for either.[LNB]Come on Red's sort it out starting tonight at Lille.[LNB]ANTHONY DUNN, Wavertree[LNB]LOOK at the success other teams are having with their kids. They make the club what it is and they understand more than anyone else. Why is Mascherano at right back when we've got two young Scousers for that position?[LNB]The football we are playing is foreign to the football we are famed for. Too many players are putting in average performances and the worry is they look like they've given up.[LNB]It has been a long time since Steven Gerrard ducked out of a tackle. McCarthy and Diame got the better of him all game.[LNB]The centre halves keep getting exposed because the players around them aren't switched on.[LNB]Torres is on his own feeding off next to nothing because there is a lack of pace and quality out wide.[LNB]There are too many people at the club who need to step up to be counted. They are letting themselves, the club and the fans down.
