That's a rap! Barnes lined up for new version of classic World In Motion

Sacked Tranmere boss John Barnes could be set for a quick return to football after New Order legend Peter Hook admitted he would love to re-record World In Motion with the former England winger.[LNB]Barnes' rap helped make the 1990 classic England's greatest ever World Cup song and the opportunity to relive the magic could be hard to resist for the ex-Liverpool star.[LNB]Hook said: 'We've just been offered John Barnes to redo the rap for next year.'[LNB]WATCH THE VIDEO OF BARNES' FINEST HOUR The bass player also revealed he almost teamed up with David Beckham for Barnes' part in 2002.[LNB]Hook added on TalkSport: 'We've been offered the official World Cup anthem nearly every time.[LNB]'(Late factory records boss) Tony Wilson lined up Beckham to do the rap and we were going to redo the song. But the FA then reconsidered it, saying: "No, no, no we're going with Ant & Dec."[LNB]'I would have loved to have heard Beckham do a rap and he was up for it.
