Tevez and Vieira to miss Manchester City's showdown with Liverpool

Carlos Tevez and Patrick Vieira will definitely miss Manchester City's game with Liverpool on Sunday.

Tevez has been advised to remain in Argentina with his premature baby girl after his wife gave birth several weeks early.

It is understood Tevez's new daughter is in an intensive care unitin Buenos Aires and he has been told by doctors not to leave until she'stabilises'.

Vieira, meanwhile, accepted a charge of violent conduct and has beenbanned for three matches after kicking Stoke City's Glenn Whelan in thegroin.

He said: 'At no time did I intend to injure Glenn Whelan. I apologised to him at the time, my foot did make contact with him, but I carried no malice at all toward him.'
