Swansea City 0 Liverpool 0: match report

25 November 2012 12:44
A game that promised so much but ended goalless courtesy of some wayward finishing and two goalkeepers who were outstanding throughout. It was a fairly uneventful homecoming for Brendan Rodgers who saw striker Kuis Suarez shake hands with Ashley Williams prior to the game despite the Wales defender’s astonishing outburst against the Uruguyan in his book. Thereafter, Suarez was in the thick of the action as both sides went for broke in a game of many chances but sadly, no goals. The early exchanges belonged to Swansea City with Pablo Hernandez and Michu posing one or two problems for a Liverpool side who came into the game as one of the division’s under achievers this term. That said it was Liverpool who had the first genuine opportunity. Suarez was foiled by Chico Flores but when the ball broke to Raheem Sterling the 17-year-old scuffed his shot.
