Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies looks set to be scuppered in his attempts to sign Paul Anderson from Liverpool. The 20-year-old enjoyed a season-long loan spell with the Reds this season but is unlikely to make a permanent move to the City Ground after Liverpool accepted a six-figure bid from Swansea. Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins told his club's official website: "We have had a six-figure sum with Liverpool accepted. But I must stress that Paul is one of a number of options we are pursuing. "The offer has been accepted by Liverpool but it is still subject to us agreeing personal terms and Roberto sitting down with the player for further talks." Meanwhile, Davies has revealed his plans to bring some players back early for pre-season training. He told the Nottingham Evening Post: "There will be a fair amount of players coming back on June 25, a week before the rest of the squad. "That will be the players who are needing a little extra work [because of injury] and the ones who might be carrying a bit of extra weight."
