Survey reveals nine out of ten Reds want NESV to buy Liverpool FC

* CATCH up with all our LFC takeover coverage including video, pictures, archive front pages and our transatlantic web chat with journalists from Liverpool & Boston here[LNB]AN OVERWHELMING 90% of Liverpool FC fans today swung their support behind New England Sports Ventures' bid to take over the club.[LNB]The embrace of NESV, revealed in an exclusive ECHO poll, will heap more pressure on current Anfield owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett to drop their lawsuit and leave Merseyside.[LNB] LFC's board accepted NESV's £300m bid for the club on Tuesday.[LNB]But the American duo claimed the board acted illegally and are dragging the case to the High Court in London.[LNB]It had been hoped the case would be heard within two to five days, but yesterday it emerged it has not been listed for Monday.[LNB]But fans today made their emphatic stance on the legal battle crystal clear.[LNB]In the ECHO's phone and online poll 1,487 fans, out of a total of 1,673, said they wanted NESV to take over.[LNB]In a show of how Reds value their roots, almost 60% of fans also called on the club to redevelop Anfield, rather than build a new stadium, which was favoured by just over 35%.[LNB] A tiny 5.3% said they would prefer a joint stadium with Everton.
