[LNB]"But all I can do is get one with my job and keep on knocking goals in. I'll just keep going. I feel I have got the perfect platform now here at Sunderland to push my case for a place in the World Cup squad. [LNB]"Sunderland is a massive club. It's going in the right direction and hopefully this can be our season. It wasn't meant to be for me this time, but if I keep on scoring at the rate that I have been doing, hopefully it won't be long before I am called up." [LNB]Bent, 25, won the last of his four caps in a friendly in Germany almost a year ago but he has strengthened his cause with seven goals this season, including the opener in a 2-2 draw at Manchester United. [LNB]"We went to Manchester United, played really well and were unlucky to come away with just a point, because we felt we deserved all three," Bent added. [LNB]"If we play like that again this weekend, I think we can beat Liverpool. We've got nothing to fear. [LNB]"We've got a lot of creativity in our side, with Kieran Richardson and Andy Reid down one side and Phil Bardsley and Steed Malbranque down the other. For a striker, it's a dream because we are getting the ball forward and into the box early." [LNB]Sunderland manager Steve Bruce will hold talks with former Liverpool, Chelsea and Barcelona midfielder Bolo Zenden following the Dutchman's trial with the north-east club. [LNB]"I've known Bolo for a good few years, he picked the phone up and asked if he could come over and he's done very, very well," Bruce said. [LNB]"He gives us a little more experience and it's in the back of my mind that we're very short of numbers in the middle. [LNB]"We only really have Jordan (Henderson), Lorik (Cana) and Lee (Cattermole) and the latter two will pick up a few yellow cards.[LNB]"You don't play for Liverpool, Barcelona and Marseille if you haven't got pedigree and the lad's in tip-top condition for his age. I will have a conversation with Bolo towards the end of the week and we'll take it from there." [LNB]Meanwhile, Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn is hoping the club can celebrate its 130th birthday this Saturday in style against Liverpool at the Stadium of Light. [LNB]"Sunderland AFC has a long and proud history and 130 years is a fantastic milestone for this club," Quinn said. [LNB]"The passion of this region for its club remains magnificent to this day as we position ourselves amongst the very best clubs in England. [LNB]"It is fitting that the Stadium of Light will host such a mouth-watering game this weekend. I'm sure there will be a bumper crowd and a fantastic atmosphere." [LNB]
