Luis Suarez was named in Liverpool's starting XI for Wednesday's League Cup third-round tie at Manchester United, as he prepared to make his comeback after a 10-game ban.

The Uruguayan striker was suspended by the Football Association for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic on the arm during a league game at Anfield on April 21 and has not played for Liverpool since.

Having now served his ban, he was included in manager Brendan Rodgers's starting line-up alongside Daniel Sturridge in one of only two changes to the team beaten 1-0 by Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday.
