Striker Luis Suarez scored his first Barclays Premier League goal since October 1 to give Liverpool a 1-0 win at home to QPR.
The Uruguay international, in the headlines for anything but his football in recent weeks, headed in Charlie Adam's cross from close range in the 47th minute.
Liverpool once again dominated possession without really taking their chances but, unlike in recent matches, one goal proved to be enough to end a run of four successive draws at Anfield.
