The story which further amplifies the clamour to see the Reds hitman in a Barca or Real Mardrid has been reported by the Mirror today. It is unclear if this is actually a further development or the Catalan paper Sport simply reporting at least partially on the earlier Sunday Times story from which the transfer seems to have taken flight across Europe.
The Mirror states the Spanish paper claims regarding Suarez, that he revealed in a phone conversation that his heart was set on a move to La Liga giants Barcelona. Suarez has become one of the hottest properties in Europe, becoming the joint top scorer in Europe and winning the PFA player of the year award among other honours.
Another Spanish publisher Mundo Deportivo have stated Suarez has said 'Yes' to Barcelona with an £85m deal including striker Alexis Sanchez moving to Anfield. The suggestion that Barcelona and not Real Madrid will get their man is given credence by reports that Falcao will be moving to Real say the Liverpool Echo.
The Uruguayan is currently in training for a do or die match against Italy to decide who qualifies from the group of death. England play Costa Rica at the same time in what is a dead rubber and may give fringe players an opportunity for World Cup experience. Suarez returned from a knee injury to bag a brace and end England’s hopes to qualify for the knockout stages of the 2014 World Cup.
Expect this story to do the rounds for some time to come.
