Steven Gerrard rues dropped points after 'best week' of his Liverpool career

'It's been a fantastic week,' the Liverpool captain said. 'I'm not sure if there's been a better week in my Liverpool career. We've comfortably beaten Real Madrid at home and then gone to Old Trafford and comfortably beaten Manchester United. [LNB]But while Liverpool's biggest win over their nemeses from the other end of the M62 since 1936 has triggered joy unbound on Merseyside, it is also tinged with regret at what might have been had the likes of Stoke, Fulham and West Ham not been allowed to escape Anfield with a share of the spoils.
