Spain win World Cup
Pepe Reina and Fernando Torres are World Cup winners. Spain won the World Cup for the first time in their history, and became the first European side ever to win the competition outside their own continent, when they beat Holland 1-0 in extra time last night. Pepe Reina was an unused sub for Spain while Torres entered the fray for the second half of extra time. The Liverpool striker pulled up with what appeared to be a hamstring injury moments from the final whistle. Dirk Kuyt played 70 minutes for Holland while Ryan Babel was an unused subsitute.
