Martin Skrtel is still clinging onto his dream of winning the Premier League with Liverpool this season.[LNB] The Slovakian defender is by no means expecting the Reds to end their 19-year-wait for domestic glory this term with Manchester United leading the race by three points with a game in hand at Wigan to come.[LNB]But the 23-year-old centre-back believes the competitive nature of England's top tier means the destination of the league crown is still undecided and a shock result could yet be on the cards.[LNB]Skrtel, who will be bidding to return to the first XI after missing last Sunday's 3-0 win over Newcastle, insists the Merseysiders must be ready to pounce should Sir Alex Ferguson's men go off the rails.[LNB]Slip-ups"In football, especially in England, any team can cause a surprise so, when you are not 100 per cent concentrated on your opponent, slip-ups can happen," said Skrtel ahead of Liverpool's cruch trip to Europa League chasing West Ham.[LNB]"Hopefully, it happens to United because we are only thinking about us.[LNB]"We have got back into the race and have managed to place some pressure on Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table.[LNB]"United are still the favourites - they are at the top of the table so they should be. But we have been able to get ourselves into a position where we can take advantage if they have more slip-ups.[LNB]"There are only a few games remaining and they have the advantage but we must make sure that we are winning our games in case they make a mistake."[LNB]He added: "We are playing well at the moment because we are working hard every day in training, we have good players, a very good manager and we have belief in ourselves.[LNB]"We have made our own luck in games and taken an advantage from that."[LNB]Team-mate Albert Riera insists people should stop talking about what Liverpool could do next season and concentrate on the present.[LNB]He said: "I have heard some people talk about next season already. I know you have to plan for the future but there are still three games to go for us and we are going to fight right to the end.[LNB]"Over the past few months we have proved that we are up for this challenge with Manchester United.[LNB]"If they get nervous or slip up, we have to take advantage. That could happen, football is a strange game."[LNB]
