Skrtel injury blow
Martin Skrtel is likely to miss the start of the season. Skrtel hasn't featured in pre-season after picking up a calf injury on his first day of pre-season training. He was hoping to recover in time to face Valencia this Saturday but suffered a setback in training last week and is unlikely to recover in time for the Premiership opener with Sunderland on August 13th. "I suffered an injury setback on Friday," said the defender. "I felt strong pain in my leg so I am back with the doctors receiving treatment. "I really don't know how long will it take to heal. I am doing my best to be back as soon as possible." On the plus side, Kenny Dalglish revealed Fabio Aurelio has is back in training this week.
