THE ECHO is on a mission to find  the most dedicated football fans on  Merseyside.[LNB]We want to honour the die-hard  Kopites, Evertonians and  Tranmere Rovers supporters,   whose loyalty knows no limit.[LNB]It could be a fan who hasn't  missed a game in years or someone  who goes to incredible lengths  to  follow their team.[LNB]Over the next two weeks we will  be collecting your nominations  before our panel of judges  selects a  winner for each of our big three  clubs.[LNB] The winners and their guest will  get to rub shoulders with stars past  and present at the ECHO's   Merseyside Sports Personality of  the Year Awards at the Crowne  Plaza Hotel on Monday, March  1.[LNB]Our last Liverpool Fan of the  Year was Les McKee, who enjoyed  a night to remember back in   February 2008. His dad was a  lifelong Manchester United fan but  Les' heart was always at Anfield.[LNB]After growing up in Northern  Ireland, he became a frequent  day-tripper, using all his spare  cash  and holiday to come over to  watch the Reds.[LNB]But it wasn't  enough to satisfy  his passion for the  club and in 2003 he  gave up his job, sold  his  belongings and  moved to Liverpool  with just £500 and a  bag of clothes just  so he could become   a permanent  fixture at Anfield.[LNB]He spent months  sleeping on friends'  floors before finally getting a job  and a place to live. Going  to every  game, he was finally living the life  he had dreamed of.[LNB]'From a young age Liverpool FC  meant everything to me and  nothing was going to change  my  mind about supporting them,' he  said. 'I was hooked and I knew I  had to move here. Now I live and  breathe Liverpool. Being Anfield's   12th man is as good as it gets.'[LNB]The Everton Fan of the Year was  Bernadette Malone who had been a  Gwladys Street season  ticket  holder for over 35 years.[LNB]The school  teacher from St  Helens was taken  to Goodison for the  first time by her  fanatical   Evertonian father  Jim when she was  just nine.
