Seagulls cleared over claims

righton & Hove Albion have been cleared by the Football Association over claims of abusive chanting.[LNB] A complaint regarding alleged abuse was made after the Seagulls' Carling Cup loss to Liverpool in September but the FA have decided there is no case to answer.[LNB]The FA confirmed on their official website: "The complainant and (anti-racism campaigners) Kick It Out have been informed that the allegations were erroneous.[LNB]"Both the club and the FA have reviewed footage of the match and conclude the supporters of Brighton did not direct any abusive chanting to one player.[LNB]"The FA wish to thank the club for proactively co-operating on this matter.[LNB]"The FA, Kick It Out, and Brighton do not condone any form of discrimination or abuse."
