Savage: Liverpool must keep faith in Rodgers

Match of the Day Pundit Robbie Savage has insisted that Liverpool must continue to stick with Brendan Rodgers, with the former Blackburn Rovers midfielder saying the club must get rid of Balotelli in January.

Ex Swansea manager Rodgers, who took charge of the Merseyside club in 2012 after the departure of Kenny Dalglish, has come under increasing pressure after their disappointing results, most notably their recent 3-0 humbling away to Man United: “Rodgers is the man that deserves to take them forward. 'd try and get as much money as you can for Balotelli in the January transfer window." Savage commented. The 40 year-old continued to heavily criticise Balotelli, blasting: “His goal scoring record for AC Milan and everywhere he's been has been OK, so, for £16m, he was worth taking a chance on. But I don't think he's done anything”. Rodgers face a tricky fixture home fixture to Arsenal on Saturday, where they will be hoping to stop red-hot Chilean Alexis Sanchez from adding to his already high goal tally.
