San Jose leaves on loan
Liverpool defender Mikel San Jose has rejoined former club Athletic Bilbao on loan.
San Jose joined Liverpool from Bilbao in the summer of 2007, but he has so far failed to make a first-team appearance.
The central defender featured in pre-season for Liverpool, but he is well down the pecking order in Rafa Benitez's plans.
Benitez has allowed the 20-year-old to return to his homeland for the whole of this season and Bilbao have the option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.
San Jose's arrivals will help ease Joaquin Caparros' defensive problems after failing to land Osasuna ace Miguel Flano.
