SAMI Hyypia has backed Rafa Benitez to lead Liverpool back into the Champions League.[LNB]The Reds boss has faced increasing pressure throughout a season that has seen Liverpool knocked out of Europe's top competition, the FA Cup and the Carling Cup, while also struggling to replicate the league form that saw them come second to Premier League champions Manchester United last year.[LNB]Hyypia spent five of his 10 years at Anfield working under Benitez before joining Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen last summer and is certain his former manager can turn things around.[LNB]'Should Benitez quit as Liverpool manager? Absolutely not,' said the Finnish defender.[LNB]'He has done a great job there so why should he? He hasn't had the money of Manchester United and Chelsea, but he has still been successful.[LNB]'Look how much Chelsea have spent to try and win the Champions League. Rafa won the Champions League in his first season in charge, then got to another final with nowhere near the budget of Chelsea.'[LNB]Ten points from the last possible 12 in the league have put Liverpool just a point behind fourth placed Tottenham, who the Reds beat 2-0 at Anfield last Wednesday to move back into contention for a Champions League place.
