Rumour Mill: Inter sack Benitez
Former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has been sacked by Inter Milan, according to reports coming out of Italy. The European champions, who have been struggling in Serie A this season, lost faith in the Spanish coach despite Saturday's 3-0 Club World Cup final win over African champions TP Mazembe. President Massimo Moratti has refused to comment publicly, although it is believed that he had already made the decision before Saturday's game. There appears to be no truth at all in rumours linking Benitez with a return to Liverpool.
