Rumour Mill: Dalglish poised to make double Villa swoop
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is set to mark his permanent appointment with a double signing from Aston Villa, according to the Daily Telegraph. The paper claims that, as soon as FSG rubberstamp Dalglish's permanent contract, Liverpool will make a £12m offer for Ashley Young and attempt to also lure his teammate Stewart Downing to Anfield. With the club now looking likely to secure fifth place in the Premier League and qualification for next season's Europa League, it is clear that new blood is needed if Liverpool are to challenge for honours next season.
