Roy Hodgson named West Brom manager

Roy Hodgson has made a speedy return to football by accepting the West Bromwich Albion job.[LNB]Just a month after leaving Liverpool, Hodgson has taken over from axed Roberto Di Matteo at the Hawthorns.[LNB]First-team coach Michael Appleton was handed the reins on a caretaker basis while a replacement was sought, and will remain in charge for Saturday's game against fellow strugglers West Ham.[LNB]He said: 'It was not my intention to return to Barclays Premier League football this quickly.
