Former Sydney FC skipper Steve Corica has urged Sky Blues officials to do all they can to bring Robbie Fowler to the club as he believes the Englishman would be an even bigger success in the A-League next season playing for the defending champions.   [LNB]Fowler is currently a free agent following North Queensland's recent financial dramas that meant they were forced to cancel contracts with existing players.   [LNB]Sydney are keen to talk to the 35-year-old in the hope of luring the former Liverpool star to the harbour city for next season.   [LNB] Big Down Under: Fowler was a hit with North Queensland Fury[LNB]Having lost as many as five players from last season's championship-winning squad, including marquee man John Aloisi, Corica and defender Simon Colosimo, the addition of Fowler would be a major acquisition for Vitezslav Lavicka's side.   [LNB]But it's believed one factor holding back Fowler's move to Sydney is some members of the club's coaching staff have doubts whether the veteran's ageing body will withstand another full season in the A-league.  [LNB] It's not a concern to Corica though who is convinced Fowler would have an even greater impact on the league next season if he was to link up with Sydney.   [LNB]  'He scored nine or 10 goals last year playing with the Fury so I'm sure if we can do well again next year he would score a bundle,' Corica, who is now a member of Sydney's coaching staff, said.   [LNB]'He's obviously a fantastic player but I think he would also be perfectly suited to the way we play.   [LNB]'He's very good on the ball and there's not many better finishes than him around.  [LNB] 'We've got a few players missing for next season and obviously we're going to have to replace them with the right players.   [LNB]'If we can get players like him to come in I think it's a great replacement.'[LNB]Corica said Fowler's contribution to Sydney wouldn't just have its benefits on the field but also through the turnstiles.   [LNB]'He's a marquee player, he's from England and we've got a lot of English supporters in Sydney,' the 37-year-old said.   [LNB]'If you want to get the crowds in I think he's a great way of doing it ... he'd put bums on seats really.'[LNB] Robbie Fowler, the wizard of Oz, hasn't lost his golden touchVIDEO SPECIAL: The very best of Robbie Fowler Torres set to miss return to Atletico Madrid again because of knee injuryCarragher says Liverpool's poor away form may cost them top four spotLIVERPOOL FC
