Liverpool reserves were beaten by Arsenal last night. An injury time winner condemned the Reds to a 2-1 defeat away to the Gunners. Tom Ince had earlier scored the reserves' equaliser. "In the first half Arsenal were the better team and they played very well and caused us some problems, but we were much better in the second half," said new reserve team coach Pep Segura. "At half-time I spoke to the players about how we could change things and we controlled the second half and created lots of chances. "It was a pity we made a mistake from the corner at the end, but this is football. We are disappointed with the result but I was happy with the second half performance of the players. "The question we now ask of the players for the rest of the season is to play like we did in the second half for the whole 90 minutes."
