Roy Hodgson has praised Pepe Reina. The boss was quick to pay tribute to Reina after the keeper was responsible for the Reds earning a point against Birmingham on Sunday. "Birmingham played extremely well in the first half and Pepe made two very good saves in particular. They were two extremely good saves," said Hodgson. "I thought we started the game well but then they really pressurised us and worked hard. "They provoked mistakes and kept the ball coming back into our penalty area and our back four and the goalkeeper were hard pressed in that period. "The longer the game went on, we looked more comfortable and started to create some chances of our own. "We always knew this was going to be a very tough encounter, especially after the international break when we haven't seen the players for 10 days. "But I'm more than satisfied with the way the team went about their business and the way we kept our shape and discipline. "I think we can be satisfied with the fact we have left here unbeaten because we know Birmingham are capable of winning matches at St Andrews against all types of opposition."
