Reds sale talk dismissed

Reports suggesting Liverpool co-owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks are keen to sell the club have been dismissed.
Recent stories have hinted that Dubai International Capital (DIC), who were interested in buying the Reds last year before the American duo gained control, were set to revive their interest in the club.
It had been claimed that the group, who are backed by Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum, wanted to buy Hicks' stake in the club.
However, a spokesman for Hicks said: "Mr Hicks and Mr Gillett remain fully committed to the club.
"Any suggestion that Messrs Hicks and Gillett are contemplating a sale of the club or any portion thereof to DIC or anyone else is categorically untrue."
Hicks and Gillett recently confirmed they had spoken to Jurgen Klinsmann about replacing current boss Rafa Benitez and are having trouble finding the finance required to build a new stadium.
Meanwhile, Jamie Carragher insists the Reds are unlikely to win this season's Premier League title - they are currently 12 points behind leaders Manchester United with one game in hand.
He said: "We're not stupid. You never throw the towel in, but for us to get back into contention for the title we'd have to have an unbelievable second half to the season.
"And the rest would have to have an unbelievably bad second half to the campaign. We realise our best chance of silverware is the cup competitions. That is why they are so important."
