Florent Malouda has revealed his interest in signing for Liverpool after describing the beaten Champions League finalists as a 'great club'.
The France international winger has been linked with a summer switch to the Premier League from Lyon with Liverpool and Arsenal rumoured to be interested in the £8million rated star.
Real Madrid and AC Milan have also been mentioned as possible destinations for the 27-year-old wideman, who was recently named the French Ligue 1 player of the season.
But Malouda, who rose to prominence during last summer's World Cup finals, would welcome a summer switch to Anfield.
"There has been contact with Liverpool, although I don't know as yet if they have shown their interest directly to Lyon," he told The Sun.
"People make their decisions based on the different leagues in different countries but I would rather decide based on the club. And Liverpool, why not? It is a great club."
Malouda has scored three times in 28 international appearances for Les Blues.
