Liverpool have agreed to sign Daniele Padelli on loan according to the Sampdoria goalkeeper's agent.
The Italy Under-21 keeper will complete the details on a six-month loan deal after passing a medical at Liverpool's Melwood training ground according to his representative Silvano Martina.
Padelli, 21, has spent the season at Serie B side Crotone, but the Genoa club has cut short his loan spell in order to complete the switch to the Premiership.
"Padelli will travel to Liverpool this afternoon," claimed Martina on Wednesday.
"The clubs have agreed on a six-month loan deal and the player is excited at the prospect of playing for Liverpool."
Reds boss Rafael Benitez has moved to sign Padelli after seeing regular number two Jerzy Dudek suffer from an alarming dip in form of late.
The Poland international has conceded nine goals in two games against Arsenal this month when replacing the rested Jose Reina.
