Reds: Benayoun going nowhere

Liverpool have dismissed reports that midfielder Yossi Benayoun is poised to leave Anfield and join Dinamo Moscow.

The Russian club claimed earlier in the week that they had agreed a deal to sign the Israel international.

"It is true that we have come to an agreement with the player's agent," said sporting director Konstantin Sarsania.

"In the next two days, Liverpool will make their own decision."

However, Liverpool have wasted little time in rubbishing suggestions that they are considering cashing in on the £7million-rated midfielder.

"The player is not for sale, it's as simple as that," said a club spokesman.

Benayoun has scored seven goals in 29 appearances for the Reds this season.
