Reds win at Chelsea

Liverpool's fine form under Kenny Dalglish continues and Fernando Torres fails to fulfil his 'destiny' Liverpool's trip to Stamford Bridge was always going to be a difficult one, but the added media interest following the departure of Fernando Torres to Chelsea last week left us all nervous about this fixture. We needn't have been. Kenny Dalglish got the tactics just right. The defence neutralised the few attacks Torres and Didier Drogba had in the first half and Maxi Rodriguez was unlucky not to give the Reds the lead, hitting the crossbar from five yards out. Torres left the field on the hour mark after failing to make much of an impact on the game, then a wonderful goal from Raul Morientes following an error by Petr Cech sealed the deserved victory. Liverpool have now won their last four games under Dalglish and not conceded a goal in any of them. If any one man is bigger than the club it could only be King Kenny right now.
