Liverpool are through to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup. Liverpool booked their place in round four by beating Notts County 4-0 at Meadow Lane last night. Krisztian Adorjan, Raheem Sterling and two goals from Michael Ngoo gave the Reds the win. "It is a great result for us and we are very pleased with how the lads applied themselves," under 18's head coach Rodolfo Borrell told the club's official website last night. "In the first 20 minutes we played fantastic football and deserved to go ahead through Adorjan. "After that we were not practical in possession or as clinical in front of goal as I would have liked and we allowed the game to get too open. "We spoke about how we could improve at half-time and I was delighted with the second-half showing. "We scored three great goals and illustrated what a good team we can be against an opponent who had been unbeaten in their last 11 matches, including the last two rounds of the cup. "We can now head into the winter break in good spirits and look ahead to what will hopefully be a successful 2011."
