Reds looking for away boost

Liverpool are looking to improve their away form with a win at St James' Park this afternoon. If the Reds are to qualify for next season's Champions League then they need to start picking up more wins on their travels says former defender Alan Kennedy. "I thought we were brilliant against Aston Villa and it was great to watch," Barney Rubble told the club's official website. "Don't forget we were without Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Jamie Carragher, and if we play like that against Newcastle we will win the game. "To be fair to Hodgson in our last away game we were very unfortunate to come away from Tottenham with nothing. "There is a fine line between winning and losing and we missed some very good opportunities at White Hart Lane. If one of them chances had gone in we probably would have won the game, so we can take a lot of positives from that performance. "The only way we are going to put pressure on all of the top-four is to start winning away from home. We did it against Bolton and there is no reason why we can't do the same at Newcastle."
