Reds look to PSG man to fill the Suarez void at Liverpool

Liverpool having been very active in the transfer market this summer still have work to do. They still need to bring in a player that will score goals and win them games.

Earlier today the internet went into a semi meltdown when it was revealed that the Reds had made an audacious approach for Monaco and Colombia striker Radamel Falcao.

This shows Liverpool are serious about getting that proven goal scorer and it brings me to the next name on the every growing list of strikers, Edison Cavani.

The PSG man doesn’t seem like he's having a great time in the French capital, forced to play second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahomvic, played out of position and most recently left off the clubs new promotional material.

The Uruguayan’s agent has confirmed that Liverpool and Arsenal have both made contact over his client’s availability in the last six months according to the Express.

He told El Telegrafo: "There has been much interest in the player during the last six months.

"I can confirm that Cavani heard proposals from Liverpool and Arsenal.

"Already said he would love to play in England, but has not yet made a final decision.

"He is not interested in money and fame; just want to be happy playing football."

Last season the 27-year-old chipped in an impressive 25 goals and 7 assists, which is a very decent return for a player that doesn’t start every game and is player out of position.

His price tag would be fairly hefty but as we've seen this summer the Reds are not afraid to splash the cash after spending almost £100m so far this summer.
