Reds linked with defender
Liverpool have been linked with Danny Wilson. Rafael Benitez is hoping to beat off competition from Spurs to sign the 18 year old Rangers centre-back. Wilson has just a year left on his current contract and has yet to sign the new deal offered to him by the Scottish champions. "Two English Premiership clubs approached us in January and since then I have had the odd discussion and we have seen people coming along to watch our players," said Rangers' chief executive, Martin Bain. "I can confirm that Liverpool have expressed an interest but a lot of clubs are keeping abreast of Dannys situation. "Danny is a young boy and has done well but I'm sure Walter [Smith] would say he has a lot to learn and I would like to see him commit himself to Rangers."
