Ray Stubbs is released from hospital after swift recovery

Sports presenter Ray Stubbs was released from hospital this morning after he was taken ill during ESPN's live Boxing Day coverage of the Barclays Premier League match between Liverpool and Wolves.[LNB]Recovery: Stubbs has been released from hospital[LNB]Stubbs, who joined the satellite channel earlier this year after more than two decades with the BBC, was not in his chair for the usual half-time analysis, with ESPN explaining he had been taken to hospital.[LNB]But today he was recovering after spending the night in hospital.[LNB]'He was released from hospital this morning, is doing well and we expect him to be back on the air soon,' an ESPN spokesperson revealed.[LNB]Stubbs' overnight stay was believed to be precautionary, while his absence from television screens is not expected to be a long one.[LNB]Football pundit Mark Bright has spoken with Stubbs.[LNB]Bright wrote on his social networking twitter site, @MarkBrighty: 'People just spoke 2 Ray Stubbs, he thanked everyone 4 their concern, he's feeling a lot better, he's at home now & says C u all soon.'[LNB]  TV presenter Stubbs taken to hospital after feeling ill during Liverpool matchAnchorman Stubbs leaves BBC to join Premier League new boys ESPN [LNB]
