Liverpool and England international forward, Raheem Sterling, has been named the FTBpro PFA Fans' Player of the Month for April. The award comes following impressive performances for Liverpool throughout April in which he scored three goals and contributed one assist to keep Liverpool top of the table and in the mix for the Premier League title.

Sterling scored in the 3-2 win over title rivals Manchester City and then followed that up with a Man of the Match performance against Norwich City in which he scored twice and set up a further goal for Luis Suarez.

Sterling’s goals helped Liverpool win three of their four games in April. Liverpool are top of the Premier League, two points clear of Chelsea with just two games remaining.

Liverpool’s remaining fixtures are against Crystal Palace and Newcastle United and the Anfield club will hope rivals Chelsea and Manchester City both drop points as they go in search of their first league title since 1990.

The FTBpro PFA Fan Player of the Month awards are designed to give a strong voice to the supporters who are the lifeblood of the game. The awards are endorsed by the players and supported by the clubs.

One lucky fan voter will present Raheem Sterling with the FTBpro PFA Fan Player of the Month award in person.

Voting is now open for the May Player of the Month and fans can cast their votes at http://www.football.co.uk/pfa-fans-player-of-the-month/index.shtml
